Technical documentation & workflow support
Clear procedures. Visible responsibilities. Usable instructions.
I turn existing documents, process notes, and staff knowledge into practical, review-ready materials. The aim is to make important work easier to understand, perform, review, and hand over without changing the underlying requirements.
What I can help you produce
- Standard operating procedures and supporting checklists.
- Workflow maps showing steps, responsibilities, and handoffs.
- Onboarding guides and operating instructions.
- Technical rewrites that preserve source requirements and flag unresolved questions.
Start with one workflow documented
For one agreed recurring process, the starting scope includes one procedure, one workflow map, one working checklist, a brief source and editorial summary, and one consolidated revision round within scope.
We begin with your existing material and a process-owner walkthrough or written answers. Together, we confirm the audience, responsibilities, terminology, output formats, and known exceptions.
Scope & Engage
Describe the need first. I review the fit and propose a written scope, fee, schedule, payment arrangements, and acceptance criteria for your consideration. Prices are quoted privately after source review. Additional documents or materially changed requirements need a new scope agreement.
Requirements remain tied to the source. Missing information is flagged rather than guessed. Your process owner reviews the draft and a representative scenario before approving the documents for the agreed use.
AI assistance is disclosed and used only with your permission and agreed information-handling requirements. Client material is handled only through the agreed tools and process.
Software implementation, independent engineering validation, legal or regulatory certification, and ongoing operational management are outside this starting scope.
A short demonstration
Fictional, AI-assisted example. This demonstrates the editing approach; it is not prior client work or a performance claim.
Before
Upon receipt of an emailed service request, an entry is to be made by the coordinator in the request log by the end of the same business day, and the customer’s name, contact details, requested service, and preferred date are to be checked for completeness.
After
- The coordinator logs each emailed service request by the end of the same business day.
- The coordinator checks that it includes the customer’s name, contact details, requested service, and preferred date.
What changed: one long sentence became two clear steps. The owner, deadline, and four required items remain intact. No new rule was added.
Tell me what you need to make clearer
Briefly describe the document or process, who will use it, its approximate length or size, and any deadline. Please leave confidential source documents out of this first message. We will agree how to handle them before they are shared.
